What Real Estate Marketing Actually Means (It's Not What You Think)

Most sellers hear the word "marketing" and picture a sign, a listing on Zillow, and maybe a few photos. That's not marketing. That's the bare minimum.

Real marketing means reach. It means the right people, buyers actively looking, agents with buyers in their pocket, the whole local network, actually seeing your home before and after it hits the market.

We've highlighted listings to thousands of social media followers before we've even held the first open house, whether it's a home in Atlantic Highlands, Rumson, Fair Haven, or anywhere else across Monmouth County. That's not an accident, it's the point. The goal is for as many of the right people as possible to know about your home immediately, not to wait and hope they stumble onto it.

Here's how to tell the difference when you're interviewing agents. Ask exactly how your home will be marketed before it's even live. Ask how many people typically walk through an open house they've run. Ask where your listing will show up beyond the standard sites.

If the answer is vague, that's the answer.
